DMOs
The ask from a regional DMO was to engage high-intent Indian and US travelers searching for flights
and/or hotels in a specific city and competing destinations, and drive them to the DMO’s landing
page.
Strategy
The campaign leveraged exclusive access to 1st-party travel data from leading global airlines and
booking
platforms dominant in the target markets. Specifically, we used 1P flight and hotel data from United
Airlines and Agoda.
Results
Leveraging our experience with tourism boards, we effectively targeted and engaged users in the
critical
post-search phase, while applying best practices from previous campaigns to exceed all KPIs.
Over a 1-month period, we tracked 1,769 conversions (flight and hotel bookings). Assuming an average
in-market spend of $2,000 per person, this equates to approximately $3.5 million in incremental
revenue
for the destination.
We also tracked an additional 28,225 searches for the target city on partner sites directly
attributed
to the campaign.
Highlights
The campaign was executed using Navigator’s data and assets to reach high-intent travelers from the
US
and India inbound to the target city and competing destinations.
- With a conservative budget, we exceeded the primary CTR KPI by an average of +147% across both
markets.
- We significantly overdelivered on all secondary KPIs, including bounce rate, session time, and
CPM.
- We drove over 1,700 incremental bookings, generating approximately $3.5 million in additional
revenue.
